As an exclusive L’Oréal Professionnel Salon, we work with industry-leading products and the latest colour technology to deliver beautiful, bespoke results. Our dedication to colour artistry has also been recognised nationally, with the salon reaching the finals of the prestigious L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards in both the Colour Trophy category and the Afro category.
Our team also includes an in-salon curly and coily hair specialist, allowing us to confidently work with all hair types and textures. WENDY
Director
As the founder of formally Dy8 Desinz now known as Dy8 Hair & Co, Wendy opened the salon in 2000 with a vision to create a space where exceptional hairdressing and personalised service go hand in hand. Over the past 25 years, she has grown DY8 into a thriving, well-respected salon with a loyal and ever-expanding clientele.
Wendy began her career in a small salon in Oldswinford before spending 18 years honing her craft in Hagley. Her extensive experience and deep-rooted passion for the industry are evident in everything she does. With a strong focus on precision and creativity, Wendy specialises in short hair — bringing fresh, tailored styles to life while staying effortlessly in tune with the latest trends.
Her commitment to excellence and client satisfaction is at the heart of the salon, and she continues to inspire the team with her dedication, artistry, and timeless approach to hairdressing.
ISABELLE
Co-Owner & Artistic Director
With 17 years of experience in the hairdressing industry, Isabelle is not only the Co-Owner of the Salon but also a visionary Artistic Director. She plays a pivotal role in both the creative direction and day-to-day running of the salon, helping shape it into the luxurious, trend-led space it is today.
A true artist in her field, Isabelle specialises in all aspects of colour — from radiant blondes and seamless balayage to intricate foilyage techniques and complex colour correction. Her work reflects a deep understanding of tone, texture, and technique, and she remains at the forefront of the industry by embracing the latest trends and innovations.
Isabelle is incredibly proud to be part of the prestigious L’Oréal Professional ID ARTIST team — a recognition of her creativity, dedication, and drive to continually push the boundaries of her craft. Her passion for education and development fuels both her personal growth and the evolution of the salon, which she is proud to grow alongside a talented and inspiring team.
JOANNE
Senior Stylist
With an impressive 36 years in the hairdressing industry, Joanne brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and precision to the DY8 team. A former salon and barbershop owner, she also spent seven years working in London, where she refined her skills and developed her signature approach to hairdressing.
Joanne has been an integral part of DY8 for 19 years, earning a devoted and loyal clientele who return to her time and time again for her exceptional service and timeless styling. She is a highly accomplished and versatile stylist, experienced in all aspects of hairdressing — from traditional colouring techniques, perming, and gent’s grooming, to beautifully crafted cuts.
Joanne is especially renowned for her expertise in cutting bobs, bringing precision, structure, and a modern edge to this classic style. Her eye for detail and commitment to delivering polished, wearable looks make her an invaluable part of the DY8 experience.
MOLLY
Colour Technician
Colour Technician
Molly’s journey with DY8 began while she was still in school, starting as a salon assistant before progressing through her apprenticeship with passion and dedication. After qualifying with her NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing in 2019, she chose to continue her development by pursuing her Level 3 qualification, reflecting her commitment to growth and excellence in her craft.
Since then, Molly has blossomed into a confident and talented Colour Technician, known for her calm approach, eye for detail, and creativity. She specialises in creating beautifully blended balayage, foilage, and has a particular passion for working with blondes and lived-in colour — delivering soft, seamless results that grow out gracefully and look effortlessly natural.
Molly also has a love for long hair styling and is especially recognised for her signature wave — a soft, polished finish that adds a touch of effortless glamour to any look. Her passion, progress, and natural flair make her a valued part of the DY8 team.
AMELIA
Advanced Stylist
Amelia began her journey with DY8 Desinz as a Saturday salon assistant while still at school, quickly showing a natural flair and passion for the industry. In September 2020, she began her formal training and achieved her NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing by July 2022. She then went on to complete her Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing in July 2024, graduating with three distinctions and earning two advanced hairdressing qualifications — a reflection of her dedication, talent, and high standards.
Now a confident and creative Advanced Stylist, Amelia is known for her vibrant personality, warm energy, and commitment to delivering exceptional results. She has a love for blondes, balayage, and creative colour work, always staying ahead of the curve with the latest trends and techniques.
Her drive to excel has already led to exciting achievements — including a bronze medal at the WorldSkills Competition in November 2023, and most recently, a prestigious place on the L’Oréal Professional ID ARTIST team. Amelia thrives in dynamic, creative environments and continually pushes herself to grow and evolve within her craft.
Her enthusiasm, skill, and unwavering work ethic make her a rising star within the DY8 Desinz team — and a stylist clients love returning to.
AMIE
Senior Stylist / Curly Hair Specialist

Amie brings over 21 years of experience in the hairdressing industry and has come full circle — having originally trained at DY8 at the age of 18. Since then, she has grown into a highly skilled and respected Senior Stylist, with a loyal clientele and a passion for creativity.
Specialising in curl-by-curl cutting and curly hair services, Amie is known for her ability to enhance and celebrate natural texture with precision and care. She also has a love for short, creative styles, delivering bold, expressive cuts tailored to each individual.
Amie’s commitment to her craft extends far beyond the salon floor — she actively pursues opportunities to grow and challenge herself through competitions and catwalk shows, always pushing the boundaries of her creativity. Her energy, expertise, and passion make her an inspiring member of the DY8 Desinz team.
LORRAINE
Receptionist / Salon Assistant
Lorraine has been a valued part of the DY8 Desinz team since 2019, but her connection to the salon goes back much further — having worked alongside our Director, Wendy, over 20 years ago during her time as a hairdresser.
While she may have stepped away from the stylist’s chair, Lorraine’s love for the industry is as vibrant as ever. With her warm, welcoming nature and impeccable attention to detail, she ensures every client feels relaxed, cared for, and truly at home from the moment they arrive.
Known for her genuine dedication and thoughtful service, Lorraine is also famous for delivering the most luxurious shampoo and head massage — a true treat that our clients look forward to time and time again.
